Fintech and app work I built and shipped.
Most of my client work is in payments and shopping: a checkout feature inside a browser, a coupons system used by millions of people and two browser extensions. Simor is my own app.
Buy Now Pay Later in Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft and Klarna built Buy Now Pay Later into the desktop Edge browser. I connected the browser’s front end to Klarna’s payment system to issue new Visa cards, and sent the card details to Microsoft with end-to-end encryption.
I built it in 2023. Microsoft Edge has 300M monthly users.
Klarna: the coupons system and the browser extensions.
In the Klarna app, used by 55M people a month, I built the coupons system, worked on other new features and fixed UI and logic bugs. I helped localize the app and the extension into 18 languages and prepare their release in 26 countries.
On the browser extensions, used by 1M people a month, I led the redesign and managed several critical features. When eBay gave Klarna a deadline to fix an extension bug or end the partnership, I found the root cause two days before it ran out. I worked at Klarna from 2020 to 2024.
The ID.me browser extension.
The ID.me browser extension had a high number of bugs and a 3.4 store rating. I led its architecture and redesign: a move to TypeScript, then React with a modular design. I proposed Playwright end-to-end tests and GitHub Actions that audit, lint and build every pull request before it can merge. The rating rose to 4.2, and the checks found multiple critical vulnerabilities.
The extension has 100K monthly users. I worked on it in 2025.
Simor, my own app.
An AI meal-logging app: snap, say, scan or type what you ate. I built it alone: the iPhone and Android app in React Native, native Apple Watch (SwiftUI) and Wear OS (Kotlin) apps and the backend on Firebase.
It went live on the App Store and Google Play in 2026, with store listings in 43 languages.
