Fix the app your users complain about, or finish the one that stalled.

When an app breaks with real users or a previous developer left it half built, you need someone who reads unfamiliar code fast and fixes it without breaking something else. The sprint has one fixed price and a written list of what gets done.

From $8,000

One fixed price for the agreed list. If you start with an app audit, its $1,500 comes off.

Request a fix sprint
Who it’s for

Founders and small teams whose app has users and problems: crashes, bugs, slow screens or failed releases. Also for apps that are mostly done and stuck, after an agency or freelancer left or after a fast build with AI tools.

What you get

The fixes or finished features from the agreed list, merged into your repository with their tests, and a release build ready for the stores or your server.

Timeline

Most sprints take 2 to 4 weeks. The proposal gives the date of each milestone.

Included
  • A written scope: each fix or feature with what done means
  • A test written first for every fix, so the bug can’t quietly come back
  • Screenshots and a short video of progress twice a day
  • Automated checks on every change: tests, lint and build
  • Release help for the App Store, Google Play or your hosting, on your own accounts
  • 12 months of free fixes for bugs in the work I delivered
Not included
  • New features outside the agreed list (quoted separately)
  • A full rewrite in a different framework
  • Feature work after the sprint, which is a new sprint
  • Design work beyond matching your existing design
How to start

If you don’t know what is broken yet, start with an app audit. If you do, send the request form with the list of problems and I reply with a written scope and one fixed price.

Fixes I’ve made in production.

  • ID.me browser extension

It had a high number of bugs and a 3.4 store rating. I led a move to TypeScript and a modular React codebase, with checks on every pull request. The rating rose to 4.2.

  • Klarna browser extension

eBay gave Klarna a deadline to fix an extension bug or end the partnership. I found the root cause two days before it ran out.

Questions.

How much does it cost to hire a developer for an app?

To fix or finish an existing app, my sprints start at $8,000 for one fixed price. The price depends on how many problems there are and how tangled the code is, so I scope it in writing first or start with a $1,500 audit.

Can you fix an app built with AI tools?

Yes. AI agents build my own projects, so I know where they cut corners: missing error handling, no tests and secrets in the app. I keep what works and rewrite what doesn’t, with tests around every change.

Will you rewrite everything?

Only if the audit shows a rewrite costs less. Targeted fixes with tests usually cost less, and you keep what already works.

What if a fix breaks something else?

Every fix gets a test before the code changes, and all the tests run on every change. If a bug in my work shows up later, I fix it for free for 12 months after delivery.

Which apps do you work on?

React Native and React apps written in TypeScript or JavaScript, browser extensions and native iOS code in SwiftUI. If your app uses something else, say so in the request and I tell you whether I’m the right fit.
